Kidedotals
Kidedotals is a social learning platform for teachers, parents and childcare service providers. It offers online books created for teachers and parents by teachers and parents. With Kidedotals, users can create a teacher blog or parent blog, share and discover lesson plans, kids songs and educational videos. Users can also improve their classroom skills, teaching skills and parenting skills with access to community generated online books, quizzes, simulations and learning modules (Kidedotals).
It is based on an openly editable model, meaning that users can edit most resources on the site. Users can track and manage their assessments, rate content, invite other users, send internal messages, participate in forums, post questions and get answers from expert users. Users can import content from approved websites such as YouTube.com and Archive.org into their books and learning modules, as well as text and images.

Kid Friendly
KidFriendly.me is a Web site designed to provide lesson plans, products and online games for kindergarten teachers to use in classroom instruction.
The Web site was envisioned by R. Nichol Starr, an award-winning kindergarten teacher, special education expert and grade-level chair at KIPP Infinity Elementary Charter School in Harlem, New York.
The games and lesson plans available at KidFriendly.me are designed to be UDL-compliant and accessible to special education students and non-special education students. Our first development is Ms. Starr’s Syllables Game. KidFriendly.me is provided in partnership with Reva Digital Media LLC and Template Tuning Service.
That’s How They Get You
“That’s how they get you” is the kind of phrase that encompasses so many moments in life. You know how some days you wake up and it just seems like, okay, what awful thing is gonna happen today?
You wait for it, and bam, you get a tweet that your favorite childhood star just died of a drug overdose while you’re stuck in traffic on your way to a job interview, which you inevitably bomb because you’re late and still in shock over the death of your idol and simultaneous realization that your childhood has officially ended.
Then you go to the doctor and boom. Cancer.
#thtgy describes the notion that something just isn’t right with the world. It’s the feeling you get when you discover an unfortunate event, disappointing result, or ironic twist, like when Palin says Obama’s health care plan proposes death panels, and a good portion of the country believes it.
But on the lighter side of misfortune in the news and the shallow rubbish that we call entertainment media is the irony, absurdity and just plain humor of it all. That’s what That’s How They Get You is all about.
Recognizing that definition can apply to practically anything, I warn you the posts here may get a bit random. But, thtgy.
Syllables Game
Ms. Starr’s Syllables Game is a free Web-based educational game for teaching syllable awareness to students at the kindergarten level developed by REVA DIGITAL MEDIA LLC in conjunction with Kid Friendly.
Ms. Starr’s Syllables Game focuses the use of multimedia on content of pedagogical value, such as the game instructions and the syllabic annunciation of words to help students along.
Its game-like qualities include music, scoring and trophies, but the interface and activities focus on the word with no additional distracting activities, visual or audio elements.
Ms. Starr’s Syllables Game is a colorful, interactive educational game that is designed for use by kindergarten-age students with special needs in an early childhood educational setting to practice identifying the number of syllables in words. It focuses on a universal design of learning methodology (UDL), which intends to create an artifact that works equally well for students with special needs as for those not classified as having special needs.

Discovery Corner
Discovery Corner Childcare & Enrichment Center is a day care facility located in Cherry Hill, NJ. DiscoveryCornerKids.com was developed by Template Tuning Service in to provide a way for the school to attract new business. Developed in ASP.NET with HTML/CSS and Flash header component, it also has a custom CMS for updating select areas of the site, including the news and events. Since the Web site launched in 2008 it has since become and integral component to the business’ communication strategy among all stakeholders.
